Pinegrove award

Field and Game - - FGA BRANCH NEWS -

Pinegrove Gun Club’s Steve Koch was named the Sports Focus Sports Administrator of the Year at a ceremony held in Bendigo.

The evening saw six worthy finalists recognised for their achievements and voluntary contributions to the sport and active recreation sector.

As a founding member of the Pinegrove Gun Club, Steve has been a ‘major player’ in changing the local Recreation Reserve from a rarely used, rundown facility, to the vibrant place it is today with fantastic facilities and the ability to host major events. Steve’s determination, focus and diplomatic approach resulted in the club hosting the 2015 and 2016 Field & Game Australia National Carnival.

Steve services and maintains all of the club’s equipment and facilities, dedicating most of his spare time to working around the club, solving issues and ‘getting things done.’ He has been described as a humble man, with a ‘can do’ attitude, whose diplomacy, leadership skills and attention to detail ensure a harmonious and productive future for his club.

The award is well-deserved, and it’s great to see recognition of Steve’s hard work, motivation, and commitment to the club. Thank you to all those who supported Steve’s nomination.
