Backing the National Carnival
Big events don’t happen without the support and this year Winchester Australia stepped up as the major sponsor of the Field & Game Australia National Carnival.
Winchester’s Brian Mortensen finished third in AA and said the company was proud to be involved in not just another National Carnival but also a successful new format. “Our involvement with Field & Game has always been at a high level whether it is through the WET Trust with the duck load ammunition we do for the hunting scene and in clay target we’ve always done a lot,” he said. “The targets at the National Carnival have been fantastic and the new format has made it easier with timing and running shoot offs and the new scoring system has been fantastic.”
FGA chairman Bill Paterson said the new format was a big change but necessary to allow the event to grow. “I’m pleased to say that with a tremendous amount of effort from our volunteers from Wodonga Albury, Benalla and Cobram we had great grounds set and it all ran tremendously well.” “There was very little waiting time between rounds but there was enough time to grab something to eat or drink, to have a rest and to get back out there. The targets were just brilliant.”
Field & Game Australia would like to acknowledge and thank our 2017 sponsors.
