Lambie makes an emotional exit
JACQUI Lambie made an emotional farewell to the Senate yesterday after confirming the UK Home Office had told her she was entitled to British citizenship because her father was born in Scotland. The outspoken former member of the Australian Defence Force was widely praised during her term when she spoke out about her son’s battle with ice addiction. Attorney-General George Brandis told Ms Lambie the Senate was “richer for your membership of it”. She said she would not stand at the coming Tasmanian election, but did not rule out running again federally.
