Work­shops take you back­stage at the Brolga

The Brolga Theatre will be the class­room for theatre buffs, com­mu­nity per­form­ers, tech gu­rus and the cu­ri­ous next week.

Fraser Coast Arts and En­vi­ron­ment Coun­cil­lor David Lewis said a work­shop fo­cussing on the back­stage tech­ni­cal as­pects of a pro­duc­tion would pro­vide in­sights into theatre di­rectly from the peo­ple who work with world-class shows at the Brolga Theatre.

Hosted by Fraser Coast Re­gional Coun­cil and led by the Brolga Theatre’s two qual­i­fied tech­ni­cians, the work­shop will cover a broad range of ar­eas start­ing with an over­view and in­tro­duc­tion to con­cepts be­fore break­ing into sep­a­rate work­shops for sound, light­ing, stag­ing, and fly­ing sys­tems.

The work­shop will be held from 16 to 18 Jan­uary, 9am to 4pm, at the Brolga Theatre and Con­ven­tion Cen­tre, Walker Street, Mary­bor­ough.
