Food and wine a per­fect match

A NEW monthly event in Fre­man­tle is cou­pling de­li­cious food with some of the state’s best wine.

The Har­bour Mas­ter’s Wine Din­ner se­ries in­au­gu­ral night will pair beau­ti­fully-made food with Mar­garet River’s Credaro Wines and in­clude a spe­cial guest speech from Credaro chief wine­maker Trent Kelly.

Es­planade Ho­tel restau­rant and bar man­ager Thayne Fohrmann said ev­ery month would fea­ture a different win­ery.

“It all starts with a com­ple­men­tary tast­ing ex­pe­ri­ence on the first Thurs­day of the month from 6pm, then there are spe­cials on that wine through­out the month and it all cul­mi­nates with the Har­bour Mas­ter Win­ner Din­ner on the last Thurs­day of the month with a spe­cial guest speaker from that win­ery,” she said.

“Wine and food match­ing is very pop­u­lar – it’s not only about go­ing out for a good meal, it’s en­ter­tain­ment.

“If you love good food and wine and meet­ing new peo­ple, then you will en­joy this ex­pe­ri­ence im­mensely.”

The Har­bour Mas­ter’s Wine Din­ner first event is on July 27 from 7pm.
