Tell us what matters to you

Fremantle Gazette - - NEWS -

TWO local residents know first-hand the important role their local paper plays in the community.

Fremantle artist Ros de Souza and her husband Ian have used the Gazette to spread the word about new exhibitions and projects since 1997.

“The Gazette is the first I contact,” Ros said.

“Community papers have a huge effect. I asked people at the Artwalk Freo event how they heard of the AWF weekend and they say it’s the community newspaper.”

Cockburn Chat’s Lara Kirkwood said she loved reading the local paper.

“It provides an opportunity to read about local stories in my local neighbourhood about local people,” she said.

“Having them online makes it easier to share it across social media, in groups such as Cockburn Chat and residents association Facebook pages.”

The Fremantle Gazette and Cockburn Gazette are running a reader survey to give you the opportunity to tell us what you like or don’t like to read and have a real say in the direction our coverage takes.

All you have to do is go tocommunitypanel. and follow the instructions to register, then rank the things that matter most to you.

And as a reward, for completing the survey you will go in a draw to win one of 10 fabulous overnight stays at Crown Towers Perth.
