Lessons in safety schooling the nation
PERTH is now home to Australia’s best school for teaching children about road safety.
The Constable Care Child Safety Foundation officially opened its safety school last Tuesday and has high aspirations that thousands of school students will visit each year.
The hands-on and interactive school has been heralded as a fun, practical and engaging learning centre, and a critical development given that road trauma is a leading cause of death for West Australian children aged under 15 and the second leading cause of serious injury.
WA Police Assistant Commissioner Craig Ward, Constable Care Child Safety Foundation chief executive David Gribble, Constable Care and Police Minister Michelle Roberts at the launch.
