Get making poppies
LOCALS are invited to join in the creation of thousands of crocheted or knitted poppies before Remembrance Day.
As part of the 100-year commemoration of the end of World War I, the Australian War Memorial is creating a large scale installation of 60,000 hand-made poppies, each representing one of the lives lost during the war.
With 20,000 already made, locals are invited to join in and help to create the commemorative poppies.
The 5000 Poppies Project workshops will be held on October 4 and November 1 at Work-Shop Fremantle, 15 Mrs Trivett Place.
