Reeled in by chance for recreation

Fremantle Gazette - - NEWS -

REBOUNDWA members were caught up hook, line and sinker in an early-morning fishing trip off the coast of Fremantle this month.

The not-for-profit organisation helps children and adults living with a physical disability to become more connected and involved through sport and recreation.

With the help of the Fremantle Sailing Club, they set off with a boatload of participants and Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray to enjoy a relaxing morning on the water as part of their annual fishing trip.

A ReboundWA spokesman said that without the support of the Fremantle Sailing Club, who had renovated their premises to make them more accessible to those with a disability, it would be too difficult for people in wheelchairs to go on deep sea fishing trips such as this.
