Hope short-lived for Fremantle
PERTH won a hotly-contested match by 25 runs against Fremantle in the first innings at Fletcher Park East on Saturday afternoon.
Sitting at 4-54, Daniel Kennedy and Chris Davenport entered the crease and immediately gave the visitors a chance at victory.
The pair put on a gritty 78-run partnership before Davenport was dismissed for 38, while giving Fremantle renewed hope at 5-132.
The hope was short-lived for Fremantle as it lost its remaining five wickets for 51 runs, finishing on 183 and 25 runs short of victory.
