Fishing for help
MURDOCH University researchers have called on fishers to take an online survey that will help guide future management of blue swimmer crab fisheries.
The survey will touch on what people want from their fishing trips, their motivation for fishing, concerns and opinion on management options.
Lead researcher James Tweedley said this kind of social survey had never been done before in WA.
The survey is completely anonymous and takes about 15 minutes to complete.
It is part of a three-year study investigating the social and economic aspects of blue swimmer crab and black bream fisheries.
