GP facing sex assault charges
A GP has faced Fremantle court accused of a catalogue of sexual assault and violence offences.
Kenneth Charles Lee, 43, is facing a total of 20 charges, which include aggravated sexual penetration without consent, aggravated indecent assault, two counts of endangering the life, health or safety of a person, and criminal damage.
Dr Lee pleaded not guilty at a previous appearance to one count of aggravated unlawful assault occasioning bodily harm. However, 19 new charges were put to him when he appeared in Fremantle Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Dr Lee told the court his lawyer “wasn’t able to make it today” and sought a two-week adjournment for further legal advice.
The adjournment was granted and he was not required to enter pleas.
His bail was set at $2000 with protective conditions that he is not to approach within 50m of the victim or attempt to contact her.
The offences are alleged to have happened between December 2018 and September 2019, primarily in North Fremantle.
