Long table makes its move

Fremantle Gazette - - NEWS -

THE Freo Long Table Dinner will find a new home this year in Kings Square.

The November 28 sit-down outside event will feature high profile and local chefs including Anna Gare, Kailis head chef Pete Manifis, Bread in Common’s Scott Brannigan, Manuka Woodfire Kitchen’s Kenny McHardy and Melissa Palinkas from Young George.

Tickets for the fundraising three-course dinner, organised by the National Hotel and St Patrick’s Community Support Centre, are now on sale.

National Hotel owner Karl Bullers started the fundraiser in 2016 and said this year’s move from High Street would enable the dinner to be part of a larger, free event.

It’s also the first time in its fiveyear history that it will be held on a Saturday.

St Pat’s chief executive Michael Piu said the Freo Long Table Dinner had played a key role in strengthening the community over the past five years and its need was even greater in what has been an unprecedented year.

“While St Pat’s has risen to many new challenges in 2020, the need within the community continues to grow significantly,” Mr Piu said. “The Long Table Dinner is absolutely pivotal in enabling St Pat’s to continue providing services for people struggling.”

Tickets are available from Sticky Tickets. Visit fremantlelongtable.com.au for more information.

Fremantle's annual Long Table Dinner, plus entertainment, is always popular.
