In The Studio With… Caspa

-

“The album was written between my bedroom and a new studio in Chiswick. When I started I had a pair of the standard little desktop Fostex studio monitors that everyone had. Then I had a Mac, running Reason. Then a MIDI keyboard, an 808 machine, and an Akai S3000 sampler, which I bought off my brother because he was an old hip-hop head, and was broke. But everything was really done in Reason, in the box. I wanna tell you I was using Wave plugins and everything, but I didn’t [ laughs]. I was using Sound Forge to chop up samples, and do audio edits and put them back in. I was also using Albino a little bit, because Rusko was using it a lot. I was messing with a few basslines from that, but not loads. I also used Maelstrom on stuff, to add crazy sound to the top of subs. Oh, and a pair of Dynaudio BM15As, which were the big boys that I bought when I moved studio.”
