Connecting Bluetooth-MIDI apps to Logic

I’m struggling to find out how to connect Logic to the ARP Odyssei iPhone app. Is this possible? Bluetooth MIDI is becoming much more prevalent in our audio world of late, with a whole host of new Bluetooth (BT) capable audio/MIDI apps and keyboards/devices with BT over MIDI capability appearing. However, not everyone has one of the latest BT over MIDI controller­s (such as Korg’s MicroKey Air) but many folks have BT apps on their iPads or iPhones and want a way to control them without the added expense of a BT controller. Thankfully, it’s relatively easy to get Logic and a MIDI keyboard talking to your iPhone or iPad and access sounds from all your favourite BT audio/MIDI apps.  ??  ?? Double click on the BT pane in Audio MIDI Setup and a BT Configurat­ion window appears. Click Advertise so Logic can pair up with your iPhone over BT MIDI. Now in the Odyssei app, click the settings gear (top left) and the BT MIDI Settings box.

 ??  ?? Connect any MIDI/USB keyboard to your computer and make sure it’s showing in Logic. Next, make sure BT is enabled on your iPhone (which will run Odyssei) and also on your Mac. Once that’s done, move onto the next stage and open the Audio/MIDI setup app.
