If anyone has any local information on blueberries (growing and harvesting), feel free to post it on our Facebook page- CWA of NSW- Galston Branch.

Congratulations to Anne and Melissa on making it to the state finals for their cookery entries. Good luck, we will all have our fingers crossed. Information on next year’s competition will be announced in the new year. Everyone is welcome to enter, not just CWA members.

One of our members has also been very busy making calico dolls for the Children’s hospitals. 60+ dolls have been made so far this year. These dolls are used by children to help represent their own surgeries and are decorated by the children, their families and sometimes the doctors themselves. If anyone has any calico they would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated.

We are also currently collecting ring pulls from tins/cans which are then used to create prosthetic limbs for children. if you have some please contact Janet or Val, otherwise please bring along to our next meeting. Thank you.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday May 11th from 10a.m. for morning tea followed by our regular meeting at 1p.m.

We meet at the Galston Health & Community Centre, cnr Glade and 17 Arcadia Road, Galston. Visitors are most welcome to attend.
