Margaret McKinley and Michael Bell are ready for the 2016 series to begin on the 29th May, when the Australian Haydn Ensemble will perform in the chapel of St Benedicts Monastery. Four more recitals will follow in coming months, however the two are giving serious consideration to making this year’s series, at least in its present form, the last.

The first concerts were given in 2002 and in the intervening years the patrons, from far and wide, have heard some wonderful music performed by internationally renowned artists. School children from Arcadia and Berowra have enjoyed the generosity of subscribers donating surplus tickets while those who have become unable to travel too far have been able to continue to follow their passion.

Margaret and Michael enjoy their involvement but think that it may be time to at least reduce the number of concerts to a less demanding schedule. This year’s bookings are lower than in the past, so this may also be an indication that the time is right for a change.

There are still tickets available for the series and for individual concerts. A copy of the newsletter may be obtained and bookings made, by contacting Margaret on 96533501 or Michael on 96531365.
