Galston Equestrian Club - Dressage, Jumping and Fun with our Horses!

Galston, Glenorie and Hills Rural News - - News - Our new Bendigo Bank jump

Our Dressage Protocol Day on 2nd April, with expert instructors Gisela Nilsson-Harding (level A judge, mentor, judge educator and EA young horse judge) and Pam Dalrymple (very experienced level B judge) was booked up within a week of advertising and had a wait list! All the riders benefitted hugely from the lessons and were keen to practise what they learnt. Sincere thanks to Gisela and Pam for sharing their knowledge in such an encouraging way.

It was a beautiful day on 10th April for our Clear Round Show Jumping, with the sun shining in a cloudless sky, and the arena grass neatly cut for the day by the Hornsby Council. Picture perfect! Fifty excited riders walked the course admiring our beautiful brand new jumps before heading for the start. One jump in particular caused much interest – the new Bendigo Bank jump, kindly sponsored by Bendigo Bank Galston, our community bank. The manager, Gary Mangan, came to see it and even gave us a hand in setting the jump up! He was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Liz Jones, our President, and Donna Dorahy, our Show Jumping Phase Head. Some photos taken on the day will be on the revolving screen in the bank branch. Thank you very much, Bendigo Bank, for your generous sponsorship, and Donna and her team for a well organised event.
