All in Together at Arcadia PS
What a team we are at Arcadia PS! Students, teachers, parents and the fabulous Arcadia community always planning, working and moving ahead to the benefit of our wonderful students. In the past month ….
Demonstrating great maturity and clear communication, our students have led parents through a journey of their learning, participating in highly effective three way conferences. Achievements have been celebrated, new goals have been set and we are well on our path to future success.
Years 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a three day camp to Bathurst and Hill End where their experiences immersed them in a period of Australia’s rich history. Some writing excerpts - Ashlea wrote …. In a hole and a walkway that is restricted, the hope for diamonds filled the hope of men. Liam reflected …dead trees and ramshackle, beaten down rooms with dust covering them. After the ‘gold rush’ it all changed. Michayla wrote…. in a dry place called Sofala two young boys play cricket….not much you might think, but for them…. .
The fantastic Arcadia Markets have become a ‘not to be missed event’ for the ever growing number of stall holders and shoppers alike. The markets owe their success and our thanks to the tireless efforts of Meegen Gamson and our outstanding parents and community. Stay tuned for the November markets, sure to be even bigger and better. We’re always so proud to hold the markets on our beautiful school grounds – thank you to the many students, parents and teachers who joined in the April working bee and bonfire – what a team!
