The Beautification of Galston High School

Galston, Glenorie and Hills Rural News - - News -

Galston High School was built in the early 1970's at a time when concrete buildings were commonplace. Unfortunately that look is now very dated and considered drab and cold. The school has in recent years had the steelwork painted in the "teal" colour of the school logo which has given it a more modern look. In addition, and with the support of Bendigo Community Bank at Galston, the school has embarked on a "beautification" project. The concrete walls will be pressure cleaned to give them a brighter cleaner appearance and a number of vertical gardens will be installed to soften the hard concrete effects. We hope to bring you pictures of the finished effects in a future issue.
