Middle Dural Public School
ANZAC Day Ceremony
Despite being a nonschool day, a number of Middle Dural PS students attended the ANZAC Day ceremony at Glenorie RSL. Accompanied by Principal Ann Mills and teacher Sue McLennan, the group marched behind the school banner to the ceremony. Mrs Mills proudly wore the medals awarded to her father. During the ceremony, school captains Rachael and Cameron led the reading of a prayer and laid a wreath. Mothers’ Day Stall
Congratulations to our fundraisers and thanks to all of the parents who donated presents. Our mothers’ Day stall made a profit of more than $300, which will go to the funding of our 125 year Anniversary.
A special thanks to Nati Roses for the donation of several posies and single roses. Cross Country
On Friday May 6, Middle Dural hosted the annual Small Schools Cross Country Carnival in beautiful weather. Students from Annangrove and Hillside Public Schools attended with students running, or walking, between one and three kilometers depending on age. All students, teachers and parents enjoyed a sausage sizzle following the run thanks to our PandC. A big thank you to Sports coordinator Joanne Urio for organizing a great day.
