All are wel­come to join us for War­rah School’s Open Day on Thurs­day 17 May, 10am-12pm. This is a won­der­ful op­por­tu­nity to visit War­rah Special School and learn more about our unique ed­u­ca­tion. As a reg­is­tered Special School, War­rah of­fers high qual­ity in­di­vid­u­alised ed­u­ca­tion for stu­dents with in­tel­lec­tual or de­vel­op­men­tal dis­abil­ity from Kinder­garten to Year 12. War­rah runs small classes with in­di­vid­u­al­ized plans while pro­vid­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for stu­dents to par­tic­i­pate in the im­me­di­ate school and greater War­rah com­mu­nity.

Founded in 1969, War­rah Special School is a Ru­dolf Steiner co­ed­u­ca­tional and non-de­nom­i­na­tional school in Du­ral. Our school of­fers Ed­u­ca­tion with a Dif­fer­ence for stu­dents on a cam­pus of 12 hectares in a beau­ti­ful bush­land set­ting.

On Open Day you will gain an un­der­stand­ing of our ap­proach which fos­ters our core val­ues of Liv­ing, Learn­ing, Grow­ing as we ed­u­cate stu­dents to live a full and mean­ing­ful life as val­ued com­mu­nity mem­bers.

Guests will meet and hear from Prin­ci­pal, Jan Fowler, who will present on the school’s Aca­demic and Life Skills pro­grams and op­por­tu­ni­ties at War­rah Special School. As well, you will see our nat­u­ral bush en­vi­ron­ment, tour our class­rooms, fa­cil­i­ties and War­rah’s bio­dy­namic farm. War­rah of­fers a unique op­por­tu­nity to its stu­dents.
