CWA Gal­ston cel­e­brated their 60th An­niver­sary on the 13th June. A won­der­ful high tea was pre­sented and well re­ceived. Past mem­bers, cur­rent mem­bers and guests en­joyed the fes­tiv­i­ties and cake whilst rem­i­nisc­ing upon the past and look­ing to­wards the fu­ture of Gal­ston Branch.

Thank you to all who joined us on this spe­cial day.

Gal­ston 500, rais­ing funds for “Kiss Good­bye to MS” in­vited us to hold a stall at their event at the Gal­ston Val­ley Rail­way. Funds go­ing to­wards help­ing those liv­ing with MS and their fam­i­lies. We sold plants, crafts, cakes and scones.

We meet at the Gal­ston Health & Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, cnr Glade and 17 Ar­ca­dia Road, Gal­ston. Vis­i­tors are most wel­come to at­tend. We hope to raise our mem­ber­ship to over 20 mem­bers by the end of the year, so if you have con­sid­ered jo­ing please con­tact us.

Our gen­eral mem­bers range in age from 30 years to 90+. Ju­nior mem­bers also wel­come. Feel free to drop in on a meet­ing and see that we are not just about tea and scones.
