COMMUNIT Y NEWS ARTISTS’ DREAM LOCAL COME TRUE O ur well known local artists Ulla and Bjorn, also know as The Art Shack, have expanded their facilities. A long term dream has finally come true for the two Artists when they recently finished the building of a brand new creative Art and Photography work shop at their home location in Glenorie. The space has been built in a unique design, using only re- and up cycled materials, creating a rustic atmosphere and a wonderful source of inspiration for their art. “The space is like walking into another haven”, Ulla says .... ”Im finding it hard to leave once the canvas is on the easel. “The space is perfect for photography, due to the private and comfortable surroundings in homely settings”, says Bjorn “The Home Studio Shack has become our new base for our creative minds where we continue working together, producing our unique collaborative “Fusion Art” and our individual creations.” Ulla and Bjorn, both from Denmark, and like to incorporate their Danish background both in their family home “Hygge” life and expressed in their Art. Ulla embraces the extremes in nature such as the vibrant colours in a bush fire and the harshness in the Danish snow. The layers of colours enhanced by her many tools gives a beautiful abstract and textured feel. Her portraits are raw and touch the soul. Bjorn’s photography represents many images from places in Denmark and Australia fused with the female form. The unique technique portrays another example of the classic Danish Designs with the stylish fine lines, that we all know so well. Bjorn’s photography is beautifully done with lightings set to precision. Both Ulla and Bjorn incorporate and fuse the female forms in their art in a beautiful and tasteful style. In addition to the ‘Home Studio Shack’ you can enjoy, view and purchase artwork or photography by Ulla and Bjorn which on display in Glenorie Shopping Village.
