Winds of change
There’s an almost magical atmosphere to Worlds Adrift, with a sense of exploration that conjures up Ghibli films. While it is an MMO, you’ll see another player maybe once an hour or so, making it more of an event than a regular encounter. This is very much about the journey. That said, it can be slow. Starting with sails means you have to go where the wind takes you. Speed, turning, and even stopping can take a while to master. There are some rough edges, particularly with the physics – objects fall through the floor a lot, for example, and it’s too easy to kill yourself with a falling object. It’s good enough to play now but a WIP that promises plenty more in the months to come.
