The Inpatient

Darkness before Dawn

Games Master - - Preview Round Up -

Set 60 years before the events of Until Dawn, you play an amnesia-afflicted patient who wakes up in Blackwood Sanatorium. Fans of Supermassive’s last game will remember the setting, here in its 1950s pomp – ie before everybody died in a horrible bloodbath. That happened in 1952, after years of monstrous experimentation and creepy cover-ups, so you’ll likely bear witness to events preceding the creation of that game’s darkest horrors, and get to tell people, “I told you so.”

Patients and staff have their own motivations, agendas, and incredibly detailed faces, and through conversation you’ll unearth the asylum’s mysteries. You’ll also explore at points – that is, when you’re not strapped to a gurney or locked in an interview room with the mysterious owner, Jefferson Bragg. In efforts to make this a more immersive experience, The Inpatient is fully compatible with PS VR. No formaldehyde jar is safe from our fumbling, motion-controlled hands.
