Culture shock Worlds collide on America’s streets

Games Master - - Feature On The Cover! -

Machine Games has christened the unique visual style of The New Colossus as ‘Germericana’. The game takes idyllic, romantic images of ’60s American culture, then perverts it with a sinister Nazi twist. This is evident in the mission where you explore the streets of Roswell, New Mexico. It looks like a perfect American street, with diners and big, shiny cars. But then you notice the swastika flags draped over the buildings and the stormtroopers on patrol. The artists thought about how these Nazi invaders would subvert American society to fuel their own propaganda machine.
