I have a large, established crepe myrtle in my garden, or in this case, two in one! ere are two distinctly di erent trees with separate trunks growing close together (above). Do they share the same roots? Can I poison one or would the other one die?

Phil Dudman says You might cut one back and poison the stump, but their roots may have grafted or one side may be a suckering of a grafted plant. If you prefer to avoid the risk, enjoy what you have. It’s a nice oddity to show visitors..
