I’ve been making up these ‘Plants in Mugs’, and they have all taken readily. I’ve bought most of the mugs at op shops for $1 or less. To make them, partially fill a mug with potting mix, add a succulent or tiny cutting, then just a little water every 10 days or so, depending on the climate. A little sunshine and they’re happy. They don’t need a drainage hole – just water less. As they grow, gently remove from the mug, cut off some roots, maybe divide them, and replace with fresh potting mix.
