5th–27th Ever­glades exhibition

11am–3pm. 37 Ever­glades Ave, Leura. (02) 4784 1938. $13 for gar­dens, house and show. Tran­si­tions is an exhibition of pho­tographs by Tracy Ponich of Ever­glades His­toric House & Gar­dens through the sea­sons. The show also in­cor­po­rates his­tor­i­cal photos and doc­u­ments, in­clud­ing diary pas­sages by the gar­den’s cre­ator, Paul Sorensen, from the 1930s.

12th Bush Food Ex­pe­ri­ence

Sat 12.30–2.30pm, Sun 10am–2pm. The Wild Play Dis­cov­ery Cen­tre, Grand Drive, Cen­ten­nial Park. (02) 9339 6664. On Satur­day ($40), join Abo­rig­i­nal guides to dis­cover how to use bush foods. Gather fruits, seeds, berries and na­tive veg­eta­bles, and learn about tra­di­tional food prepa­ra­tion.

12th Crook­well Potato Fes­ti­val

9am–3pm. Crook­well Show­ground, Goul­burn St, Crook­well. (02) 4832 1988. $5. Roll up for old-fash­ioned coun­try fun – see spe­cial guest Costa Ge­or­giadis, watch the cook­ing de­mos, browse mar­ket stalls, visit the quilt and art show, tuck into food and drink on sale – and en­joy all the spuds, of course!
