Gatton Star - - SPORT -

CRICKET: Ropehill won their third title in a row after coming out on top against the Council side in Saturday’s R&F Steel Buildings Twenty20 competition grand final.

After winning the toss, Ropehill elected to bat first and posted an impressive score of 210 for a loss of five wickets.

Chris Natalier and Josh Reisenleiter, following up on his incredible double hat-trick from the weekend prior, both scored half centuries to put their side in a commanding position.

Unfortunately for the Council side, the run chase never really got going.

They were only able to reach a total of 129 to hand their opponents the win.

The victory for Ropehill marks a hat-trick of wins for the side, with three consecutive grand final wins in the pre-season competition.

THREE-PEAT: Ropehill won the pre-season Twenty20 competition for the third year in a row.
