Gatton Star - - NEWS -

SOMERSET Regional Council, through its Mayoral Gala Charity Ball fund, will make assistance available to the Toogoolawah Progress Association to help those impacted by a bushfire that ripped through Toogoolawah last week.

Mayor Graeme Lehmann is encouraging residents who have been impacted by the fire and are looking for support or assistance, to contact the Toogoolawah Progress Association, which will do its best to assist.

Anyone wanting to offer assistance via the donation of goods, services or money should also contact the Toogoolawah Progress Association.

“Council has received several calls from people wanting to donate household items, hay and more and we would encourage these people to phone the association so they can co-ordinate donations with those in need,” he said.

The Toogoolawah Progress Association can be contacted on 0427 586 232 or 0438 149 954.
