LAI­D­LEY State High School has earned the rep­u­ta­tion as a leader in the de­liv­ery of high qual­ity ed­u­ca­tional op­por­tu­ni­ties and out­comes for stu­dents within the Lock­yer Val­ley.

De­liv­ered through a strong aca­demic and vo­ca­tional cur­ricu­lum, in­no­va­tive and high qual­ity teach­ing, ac­tive mon­i­tor­ing and in­ter­ven­tion pro­grams and ac­cess to a broad range of sport­ing and cul­tural ex­tra-cur­ric­u­lar pro­grams.

Lai­d­ley High school has a clear fo­cus on mas­ter­ing lit­er­acy and nu­mer­acy ba­sics in ju­nior sec­ondary while pro­vid­ing in­di­vid­u­alised cour­ses in the se­nior school to meet each in­di­vid­ual stu­dent’s ca­reer goals and as­pi­ra­tions.

Lai­d­ley High main­tains strong be­havioural stan­dards and ex­pec­ta­tions and ac­tively cel­e­brates suc­cess, pos­i­tive ef­fort and im­prove­ment.

Staff have a clear fo­cus on work­ing with fam­i­lies de­vel­op­ing pro­duc­tive, well rounded young adults with a clear fo­cus on tran­si­tion be­yond school to fu­ture ter­tiary stud­ies and the world of work.

The school’s Dig­i­tal Fu­tures pro­gram fo­cus on de­vel­op­ing stu­dent’s crit­i­cal and cre­ative think­ing skills en­ables mod­ern teach­ing and learn­ing and pre­pares stu­dents for their roles as 21st cen­tury learn­ers in both our lo­cal com­mu­nity and as cit­i­zens in a global so­ci­ety. An $8.5 mil­lion fa­cil­i­ties up­grade pro­gram will see new spe­cial­ist fa­cil­i­ties con­structed dur­ing 2019 to pro­vide new and im­proved learn­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties in the ar­eas of mu­sic, in­stru­men­tal mu­sic, dance, drama, me­dia, en­gi­neer­ing, con­struc­tion, dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies, sci­ence and hos­pi­tal­ity.

As a grow­ing school, these fa­cil­i­ties will en­able our school to cater for new en­rol­ments and con­tinue to im­prove the qual­ity to learn­ing out­comes for Lai­d­ley State High School stu­dents.
