MORE than 60 years after the launch of the original Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint — nameplate is making a comeback.

local line-up, offering buyers a modern take on an Italian classic. Like the original Giulietta Sprint, the
version is also powered by engine of less than 1400cc in capacity, but for 2015 it is equipped with MultiAir valve management and intercooled turbocharger to boost its power output to more twice that of the original Sprint’s 1.3-litre twin-cam engine.
The new 1.4-litre petrol engine produces 110kW 250Nm of torque, and can propel new Giulietta Sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 210km/h, while its combined-cycle fuel efficiency figure is 5.7L/100km.
Based the Alfa Romeo Progression, new Sprint also comes equipped with number other features including 17-inch, five-hole design alloy wheels, special badging on the front fender, carbon-effect door panels and dashboard surround, a sports, leatherwrapped steering wheel red stitching and new seats with cloth Alcantaraupholstery, red stitching “Sprint” logo embroidered into the headrests.
Sprint enhancements also include sports rear bumper side skirts and darktinted windows.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint is available in limited numbers priced at $31,000.
