THE im­pend­ing demise of the home­grown Holden Com­modore and Ford Fal­con is al­ready spik­ing re­sale val­ues. Per­for­mance cars from red

blue teams are show­ing stronger re­sults this ex­pected to con­tinue be­yond the shut­down dates of the two brands’ lo­cal fac­to­ries.

Even less de­sir­able Fal­con and Com­modore mod­els pre­dicted stand strong over next five years, ac­cord­ing to in­dus­try watch­ers.

“Com­modore V8 are all ex­pected per­form bet­ter than they have in the past as they exit the mar­ket. The same can be said for Fal­con XR8 and XR6 Turbo mod­els,” Glass’s Santo Amod­dio tells Cars­Guide.

“The re­sale of ve­hi­cles is im­prov­ing sig­nif­i­cantly this trend is ex­pected to con­tinue once they are dis­con­tin­ued.”

“Other mod­els Com­modore and Fal­con not per­form as strongly.

How­ever there will be ad­di­tional de­mand for th­ese cars they have some ap­peal to en­thu­si­asts.”
