THE Alfa Romeo 4C Spi­der has ar­rived in Aus­tralia, with the thrills and ex­cite­ment of open-air mo­tor­ing.

The is hand­crafted in Mo­dena, Italy fea­tures se­duc­tive Ital­ian style and a sta­teof-the-art, For­mula One-in­spired car­bon fi­bre chas­sis for an in­cred­i­ble power-to-weight ra­tio.

An all-alu­minium 1750cc tur­bocharged en­gine fea­tures direct-in­jec­tion, dual in­ter­cool­ers and vari­able valve tim­ing that en­sure thrilling per­for­mance.

In­spired by the leg­endary 33 Stradale, Alfa Romeo 4C

even tran­scends this leg­endary race car’s mid-en­gine body forms and fol­lows its pur­pose­ful light­weight per­for­mance tra­di­tion with sheet­moulded com­pound (SMC) com­pos­ite pan­els, which form se­duc­tive shape, a state-ofthe-art car­bon­fi­bre mono­coque chas­sis.

The en­gine is al­ways the beat­ing heart of any Alfa Romeo and for the new 4C Spi­der it beats to an in­no­va­tive, all-alu­minium 1750cc tur­bocharged and in­ter­cooled en­gine with dual (in­take ex­haust) con­tin­u­ous vari­able-valve tim­ing (VVT) that de­liv­ers 177kW — or an im­pres­sive 100kW per litre 350Nm of torque.

Thanks to its mid-en­gine lay­out, ad­vanced tech­nol­ogy and fo­cus on light­weight per­for­mance, the all-new Alfa Romeo 4C Spi­der demon­strates its cre­den­tials with a top speed of 257km/h, 0-to-100km/h ac­cel­er­a­tion blasts in 4.1-sec­onds, 1.1 g lat­eral ac­cel­er­a­tion and 1.25 max­i­mum brak­ing de­cel­er­a­tion.
