GORGI COGHLAN, THE CIRCLE

Geelong Advertiser - TV Guide - - Q& A -

show – just before Christmas – was with Chrissie and Denise. We did the whole nice-to-meet-you when we met but something happened when we started the screen test – we just clicked, and everything fl owed so freely. It was that screen test that got everyone very excited about the show. And it clicked even more when Yumi was screen-tested with the three of us. There’s a mutual warmth and respect there.

Gorgi, how’s it been switching networks from Nine to Ten?

Someone once said I was Channel Nine’s poster girl, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about that, actually! Nine was wonderful to me – it was my break into commercial television and the place where I learned to develop my on-air personality. I’ll always appreciate it but it’s just one of those things that came to an end. I was thinking about things I wanted to do – ironically enough, The Circle was exactly the kind of show I wanted to do at Nine – and they didn’t really see me in that position. It’s understandable but I needed to get away, take some time off and reassess things. I’ve been very lucky – I had time to stop, think about what I want and really get fi red-up and passionate about I wanted to do. And this came along!
