THE NEW NORMAL
Pitching sitcoms to network executives ( and then convincing them of a second season) is not unlike making life decisions on the roll of a dice. There is just too much competition and, grouped with fickle audiences and ratings- hungry networks, that means many shows are given the axe prematurely. The New Normal falls into this category, so it’s best to tune in now before the final episodes air. While it’s not the best show going around, with Ryan Murphy ( Glee, American Horror Story) at the helm, there are plenty of sly witticisms and biting humour to bring the laughs. Tonight, David ( Justin Bartha) jumps at the chance to chaperone a Boy Scout trip.
