Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett are a classy pair of actors who have been known to star in the odd blockbuster, but not long into this production do you realise it is not your standard thriller. The guiding hand of director Joe Wright ( Atonement, Pride and Prejudice), however, delivers some interesting balance between action and poetry. It is the story of a young girl ( Saoirse Ronan) raised in the Finnish woods by her father ( Bana) to become a skilled assassin. Blanchett ( above) plays the CIA officer tasked with tracking her down. A thrilling action flick.
