Friday MISS FISHER’S MURDER MYSTERIES
It’s the finale of this 1920s Melbourne- set crime drama, and if the styling isn’t enough to draw you in, lead doyenne Essie Davis will be. Tonight’s sombre episode starts with a death at Magdalene Laundries, a halfway house for pregnant or disobedient girls run by a group of nuns. As Phryne ( Davis) begins to investigate, the cloaked goings- on in the convent makes her suspicious of the events surrounding the death. But as she begins to pull the thread, the stories unravel and the crime leads higher and higher up the chain to someone she never suspected. A fitting end to an enjoyably entertaining season.
