As the creator and head writer of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, Shonda Rhimes has a gold star when it comes to hooking viewers and crafting compelling characters and storylines. Yet, people can get bored, even when they are on a good thing. Clearly tired of doctor jargon, Rhimes has upped the ante with this slick political thriller starring the luminous Kerry Washington ( pictured, Django Unchained) as fixer Olivia Pope. It’s a clever drama that isn’t afraid of a few soapie twists. Tonight, Olivia is caught in a media storm after Fitz’s ( Tony Goldwyn) pick for Supreme Court Justice is caught having an affair. This is one series that will reportedly get even better with time.
