“It was a baptism of fire,” Steve said.
“I didn’t understand the complexity of the location – I thought there would be apartments within the building and it would be a matter of going in and designing your own rooms.
“So when we walked in and there was nothing there, it was a complete shock.
“You get your parameters and a very basic plan about how the makers of the show saw the building shaping up. And because we knew nothing about the building process, the first steps were just massive for us.”
