Thurs­day nights on SBS have lately been de­void of cook­ing magic, but luck­ily pop­u­lar Viet­namese chef Luke Nguyen ( pic­tured) is back to in­ject some culi­nary flair into pro­ceed­ings with this two- part spe­cial. Nguyen takes a trip down mem­ory lane, reminiscing on his favourite mo­ments and dis­cov­er­ies from his im­mensely pop­u­lar jour­ney through the Greater Mekong. Hosted from the sur­rounds of Cabra­matta, Syd­ney, tonight the lov­able gourmet re­vis­its the de­lights of Yil­iang roast duck, sali­vates over Mr Sch­wee’s fa­mous beef skew­ers and re­calls a Thai- style curry fea­tur­ing frogs. It’s all so good, you can make a meal of it again.
