NOW AND THEN
NINE, Today, 1pm, ( 1995)
Demi Moore ( pictured), Rosie O’Donnell, Melanie Griffith and Rita Wilson star as four women who reunite and reminisce their coming of age in the ’ 70s. They remember the time when they set out to obtain the funds required to fulfil a shared dream – to buy their own tree house, and the night they performed a seance at the local graveyard. Cuts to past and present work effectively and the soundtrack is an obvious and wellutilised plus, but it’s Christina Ricci ( Monster) who puts the boot in again, upstaging her elder, more celebrated co- stars. An innocent pleasure about the bonds – and bounds – of true friendship.
