Police and corruption – they go hand- in- hand, don’t they? Set in the fictional police anticorruption unit AC- 12, Line of Duty features Lennie James ( The Walking Dead) as nefarious, charismatic cop Tony Gates. Gates finds himself under investigation, despite his seemingly glowing record, with AC- 12 superintendent Ted Hastings ( Adrian Dunbar) convinced Gates’ exemplary results are too good to be true. Boasting great performances and a smart script, when it was released last year the four- part drama was BBC2’ s most successful drama ever, thanks in a large part to James’ enigmatic performance and a gripping storyline.
