It’s almost unthinkable that Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge was reluctant to make a second season of her breakout hit. The comedy won six Emmy Awards for its sophomore season in 2019, including Outstanding Writing and Lead Actress gongs for Waller-Bridge. Tonight’s sinfully good episode sees the Priest (Andrew Scott) and Fleabag (Waller-Bridge) try to spend a day together. She spends the time reflecting on memories of her mother’s funeral. Searching for solace, she finds her way to a confessional booth, where an unexpected revelation leads to trouble.
