This time, Portillo is on a 4000km adventure across six vibrant South-East Asian nations. Starting his journey in Hong Kong, which boasts one of the world’s most enviably efficient mass-transit systems, Portillo investigates the impact of the historic drug wars. Filming in the city during the 2019 pro-democracy demonstrations, Portillo took the opportunity to chat to Hong Kong locals in Wan Chai about what is at stake for them in their fight.
