Starc to miss season start
Mitchell Starc will miss the start of NSW’s one-day campaign as he continues to recover from a serious foot injury. Starc was left out of the Blues’ 14-man squad for the one-day cup but selectors are hopeful the left-armer will be given the green light to play later in the tournament.
Starc and Josh Hazlewood, Australia’s new-ball pairing, are both sidelined but expected to play some Sheffield Shield cricket before the first Ashes Test that starts on November 23 at the Gabba.
