THERE’S a new barber shop on the block and it’s proving pretty popular with the locals — including a number of hair-proud Cats players. Rex & Ross Barber Shop on Pakington St is building its business around traditional barbering service with a modern twist. The ex-military duo, whose real names are Glen and Nathan, recently returned to Victoria to be closer to friends and family after being posted in Queensland for several years as part of the Australian Army. They offer a complimentary beer, coffee or spirit with every cut and their vision for the future is to work with community organisations and charities supporting returned servicemen and their families. Since opening in late August, they’ve been tried and tested by and (above) who was spotted getting a fresh cut there before the Brownlow.
