GREENS can­di­date Sarah Mans­field will be a fa­mil­iar face for vot­ers, af­ter run­ning for in the fed­eral elec­tion last year where she at­tracted about 12 per cent of the first pref­er­ence vot­ing. “My plan for a health­ier Gee­long in­cludes: (1) bet­ter con­nected lo­cal trans­port op­tions in­clud­ing more cy­cling and walk­ing routes; (2) sav­ing our lo­cal li­braries; (3) pro­tect­ing en­vi­ron­men­tal as­sets like the Moolap Salt Pans and the You Yangs; (4) fair, trans­par­ent and sus­tain­able lo­cal plan­ning; (5) in­fant ser­vices that are more in­clu­sive of the whole fam­ily; (6) bet­ter fa­cil­i­ties for lo­cal sports clubs to grow fe­male par­tic­i­pa­tion; and (7) in­creased sup­port for our lo­cal arts and busi­nesses to cre­ate a more vi­brant CBD.”
